Hi there, I’m Teagan.

I love animals, especially dogs, and am usually able to build relationships with them quickly. I’m also a qualified photographer so it makes sense for me to combine my two loves – animals and photography! I’m based in Buntingford, Hertfordshire, UK, so am happy to travel in a 20 mile radius to photograph your beloved fur babies.

Frequently Asked Questions

A maximum of 2 pets is best for one photography session, as long as they get on well with each other and will happily sit/lie/stand together for photos.

The more pets you include, the more difficult it may be to get them all to co-operate together, hence the photography session may need to extend past 1 hour and an extra fee will be payable, or you can book additional photography sessions.

If you have pets who are unlikely to co-operate with other pets, or can’t be put together (for example, a cat and a reptile), then please book separate photography sessions for those pets.

I come to your house, so your pets feel comfortable in familiar surroundings. Ideally the photographs should be taken outdoors, in a neat garden setting without a busy background, and in full sunshine.

I appreciate that some pets can’t be outside, or the weather might be against us, in which case photos will be taken indoors. It’s best that the room you choose has lots of natural light and is neat and calm, so that pets feel relaxed and there isn’t a lot of clutter which may end up appearing in the background of the photos.

Most family pets, including dogs and cats, can be photographed, provided they are friendly and will be happy to co-operate for photographs for at least an hour or two. Owners must be present during the photography session and it always helps if you have have snacks and toys on hand to encourage co-operation.

It may be possible to photograph other pets such as rabbits, birds and reptiles, but please consider the environment, the lighting available, their safety if out of cages, and whether they will be able to co-operate for a long photography session before you book.

I am skilled at building rapport with most family pets, as long as they are friendly and respond well to strangers. However there is always a risk that pets won’t do what you’d like them to do, so I’ll do my best to capture their true natures in photographs.

On rare occasions, we may find pets cannot be photographed due to them being uncooperative, unfriendly or aggressive, in which case we will unfortunately have to cancel the session, and you will be charged for the full photography session (as I will already be there), so please consider your pets’ personalities and usual behaviour before booking.

In most cases, yes, 1-2 human family members are welcome too. If you want more human family members included, this will increase the fee, as not only will there be animals but also humans for me to manage during the photography session. Please ask me if you’re unsure.

Please make sure that the setting you choose, whether outdoors or indoors, is neat and clutter-free, and the kind of environment you would like to appear in the background of the photographs.

Please also make sure your pets are well on the day, and if not, please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule. Please have your pets’ favourite toys and snacks ready for the photography session, and note that owners must attend for the whole session.

My photography packages include 10 high quality digital images of your pet(s).

In addition, some of the packages also include either a large, high quality print on good quality photo paper (printed professionally), or a large print on canvas or a framed large print (printed and prepared professionally – you can specify some colour/size choices for these options).

I will need approximately 1-2 weeks after the photography session, during which time I will evaluate all the photographs taken, choose some final best images, and edit them to a high quality before sending the digital images to you via email or a large file transfer service.

If you have ordered one of the packages which also includes a print (large print, canvas print, or framed print), then note this involves an outside service provider, so please allow an additional 1-2 weeks after I have delivered the digital images to you.

If I need to cancel due to illness or unexpected reasons, you can choose to receive a full refund or reschedule the booked session.

If you cancel up to a day before, you can choose to receive a full refund or reschedule the booked session.

If you cancel on the same day as the booked session, up to an hour before it is due to start, and if I am not already travelling to your session, you will receive a 50% refund.

If you cancel on the same day as the booked session, within 1 hour of the start of the session, or if I am already travelling to your session, or if I have already arrived at your session, then unfortunately there will be no refund.
